Carnaval!!!!
By PrettyPowerTools, on February 16th, 2010

Los Angeles, Ca. Saturday the 20th of February. Party. Brazil. Samba! Dancers! Alcohol! Beads! Honestly, what more could you ask for? Please Go HERE for the details!
Brazilian Carnaval is the annual festive PARTY of awesomeness. The Brazilians celebrate Carnival 40 days before Easter and the event brings in most of Brazil’s tourism and the majority of the consumption of the time is alcohol. So, that tells you right there, that they know how to party and everyone else knows it!

A company by the name of Brazilian Nites has taken the west coast by storm for years passed and years to come. The party gets bigger and better each year and so does the entertainment! Everything from Batucada, Samba Dancers, Live Performances, Capoeira, and beyond! The dancing never stops! That is the best part!! Continuous music, fast dancing, amazing entertainment and bars to buy drinks from so that the fun doesn’t stop, just like in Brazil!
Reasons to go to Carnaval THIS Saturday at Nokia Live, in Los Angeles…
*You like to party.
*You love to drink.
*YOU LOVE TO DANCE.
*You love culture!
*You want to have a great time, see the Samba girls
and their amazing costumes!
I have been to Brazilian Nites Carnaval, I have amazing souvenirs to tell the stories, and the memories of the Batucada line of drummers making their way to the stage is enthralling. I have never once regretted being a part of something so big and so much fun. I even made a necklace out of silk leaves to wear one year, that’s how much I love this! (And I am a white girl! Lol) This event is all ages and all fun. Please do yourself a favor and make it a party date. Celebrate culture and beauty at its finest. I will be there, once again! Thank you Brazilian Nites for bringing Carnaval to the west coast, for those of us who can’t be out in Brazil! xOxO!
Please head over to their web page to see more amazing photos, the beautiful dancers, the amazing performances and the decorations. You won’t regret it, I promise. Hey, they even have videos. You can even find some on youtube! Here are some pics I have taken.
Here is one of my favorite Samba videos, slightly off topic lol. But I just love the music and the way they move. You really need to see Samba dancers in costume, on stage. There is nothing like it.
